Midsummer Open 2014

By Doc

At Erlestoke Sands GC 20 June, first tee time 2:00pm.

We return to the scenec of last year’s Fianls Day thriller – Erlestoke Sands GC just south of Devizes. Barty is defending having scored an incredible 42 points last year at North Wilts.

This is the first time the Misummer Open has been held at Upavon since 2003 when Pete Keen was the champion. Erlestoke is a 18-hole championship length downland course set amidst mature trees and woodland in 175 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside on the northern edge of Salisbury plain. It’s home to one of the finest holes in the west country, the spectacular 170 yard, par-3 seventh (right) has been described as the most picturesque in the county.

Meet at the Club for 1:30pm
First tee time is at 2:00pm
Dinner at The Blue Boar at about 7:00pm

The drive to Erlestoke from the village takes about 45 minutes – if anyone needs a lift, I’ll be leaving at about 12:15, just let me know.

See you at Erlestoke.
