Lovely weather, a beautiful course and some great golf were on offer at the recent Dabchicks Midsummer Open event.
The Manor House Golf Course was well received by all participants with many acknowledging that it’s one of the best courses they have played. We had a total of 15 golfers compete for the title which is a healthy number particularly with a few of the regulars unable to attend for a variety of reasons, we also had 4 new attendees which is great to see and as a quick reminder we always welcome new members.
And it is to one our new members ‘Gooders’ who takes the Midsummer Cup title with a superb 40 points, playing off 13. Second place was one of Gooders good friends Simoen ‘Barty’ Bartholomew who scored 39 points playing off 13 – well played gents, and congratulations on joining Harry and Remoulds in qualifying for the end of season finals day.
Gooders receiving his congratulations from last years winner Dave Newham.
And our other winners.
Nearest the pin on the 2nd was Harry, Nearest the pin on the 17th was Pete Keen and muscles with the longets drive and returning to the Dabchicks was Darren Kirwan ‘Dazzle’. Well done all.
And to round of the award celebration to great delight of Chris Paget was his presentation to Pete Keen of the hardest working golfer of the day with not his greatest score!
